SWIMEDICINE is the UK's longitudinal survey of the wellbeing of doctors led by Dr. Caroline Kamau-Mitchell, a scientist with expertise in occupational health who has published in journals such as Nature, the BMJ and the Lancet Psychiatry. Her research has been featured in The Guardian newspaper, BBC and Channel 4 TV. She is an academic at Birkbeck, which was established in 1823 and is part of the University of London. The SWIMEDICINE survey started with medical students and will follow-up with them every 2 years into their careers as doctors.
